My buddy brought me here for lunch before flying back to Alberta. Lisa took good care. for us, explained everything well and was very friendly and accomodating! The food tasted really good. You pick up your ingredients from the buffet, veggies, meats, sauces and more and you take everything in the middle open kitchen and they will cooked it right in front of you. That is amazing! First time here when we stayed in Thunder Bay for one night. It was a good experience. We could choose the ingredients by ourselves and the kid’s price was very reasonable, 7.99 all you can eat. You can choose as many as you want as long as it does not overflow the bowl. It also has all you can eat option. Like this place.
Simply put - amazing. The ingredients are so fresh and the veggies are cooked perfectly; tender crisp. Highly recommend the cheddar wrap. Huge portions. Well worth the price. Memo to me-one scoop of hot sauce is enough Update: Takeout here is well worth it. You choose your ingredients and Mongo’s puts it together for you. Very generous portions. The large bowl is enough for three meals for me.
This is a great location, it's definitely different than the Ajax Mongolian but both have their undeniable charm. The thing you need to know about this location is that you are allowed to stack your bowl as high as you can carry, this is important to know when you're considering whether you want the one bowl option or endless bowls, as if you think you will fill up after one stacked bowl, then no reason to spend another 10 on the endless option. The offerings here are extensive and if you like to eat a variety, then definitely shell out the extra 10 and have different bowls each time.
The staff was lovely and welcoming. I absolutely loved the food and they even recommended a refill as it was our first visit! Very reasonable price both for the bowl and the dessert. I highly recommend it! You can design your food just how you wish. There are variety of sauces and seasonings for different appetites. Again, the staff was extremely lovely!

Not only was the meal a unique and delicious experience, the staff were very helpful and there was a lot of choice for vegetables, proteins and sauces. You can fill the bowl as much as you can. You can mix different sauces and they have suggestions for how to do this. As a vegetarian, I chose tofu, edamame and chickpeas for protein but there were several meats as well.
